Contract manufacturing production and technical review

Consumer-product contract manufacturing

Turn Your Technical Package Into an Approved Production Program

Coordinate formula transfer, feasibility, scale-up, approved manufacturing and shipment handover scope through APS Packaging Türkiye, with U.S. commercial coordination through APS Consumer Goods LLC.

Program at a glance

Define the Technical Input

Formula, specification or performance brief

Review Feasibility

Materials, process, equipment and testing

Align Scale & Packaging

Batch, line, component and pack-out fit

Approve Production

Quality, commercial and shipment handover scope

A disciplined production route

Why Choose Contract Manufacturing

Align the technical starting point, production responsibility and commercial purpose before an approved program begins.

Example review scope: liquid household care, surface care, dish care, laundry-related formats and personal cleansing formats.

Transfer an Existing Product

Move a customer-controlled formula or approved specification into a documented external production route.

Develop Against a Performance Brief

Start with a target, benchmark or laboratory direction and define the feasibility, sampling and scale-up path.

Add a Qualified Production Route

Evaluate an additional manufacturing route around defined volume, quality, packaging and shipment requirements.

Three technical starting points

Choose Your Technical Starting Route

The first review identifies whether the project is a formula transfer, a development program or a production-scale transfer.

Selected route

Existing Formula & Specification

Begin with a customer-owned or properly authorized formula, product specification and acceptance criteria.

Customer starting inputs
  • Formula and ingredient information
  • Finished-product specification
  • Test methods and acceptance criteria
  • Target pack and forecast
Feasibility review focus
  • Raw-material and process feasibility
  • Equipment and batch-size fit
  • Packaging compatibility
  • Transfer and change-control needs

Responsibility architecture

Product Authority & Production Responsibility

Each program should show what the customer controls, what the parties approve together and what production executes.

You Control

  • Product purpose and intended use
  • Owned or properly authorized formula or technical brief
  • Brand, packaging copy and market-positioning decisions
  • Required market and regulatory responsibilities

We Approve Together

  • Technical and material feasibility
  • Sample, pilot or transfer scope
  • Specifications and quality acceptance criteria
  • Approved commercial production scope

APS Packaging Türkiye Executes

  • Production against the approved scope
  • Filling and packaging when included
  • In-process manufacturing controls
  • Agreed production documentation

Formula ownership, exclusivity, product classification, claims, market obligations, test responsibilities and usage rights are not assumed from the manufacturing relationship; they are assigned to the applicable parties for the approved program.

Technical transfer pathway

From Brief to Approved Production Scope

The sequence may change by project, but production should begin only after the technical, quality and commercial package is complete.

  1. Confidential Brief

Share product purpose, technical package, volume, pack and target-market inputs.

  2. Technical Feasibility

Review materials, process, equipment, scale, testing and packaging fit.

  3. Sample, Pilot or Transfer Plan

Agree the required reference, sample, pilot, validation or transfer path.

  4. Quality & Commercial Approval

Document specifications, acceptance criteria, release roles, timing and approved commercial scope.

  5. Production & Shipment Handover

Complete approved production and pack-out, then align timing, shipment terms and handover at the agreed destination.

Contract manufacturing FAQ

Technical and Commercial Questions

These answers define the model without assuming technical feasibility, ownership, approval or capacity.

What is contract manufacturing?

Contract manufacturing is an arrangement in which a specialized manufacturer produces an agreed product for another company according to a documented formula, specification, process and commercial scope.

Which technical starting route fits my project?

Choose Existing Formula & Specification for a controlled technical package, Defined Performance Brief for a target or benchmark, or Production & Scale Transfer for an established product moving to another approved route.

Can APS review an existing formula, and who owns the IP?

An existing formula may be reviewed when the customer owns it or has proper authority to share and manufacture it. Ownership, development output, process know-how, confidentiality and usage rights are documented for the specific project and are not assumed from the manufacturing relationship.

How are confidentiality and technical information handled?

The relevant parties, information-sharing route and technical package are defined before detailed review. Project-specific confidentiality, access and usage boundaries should be expressly documented.

What happens before approved production?

The route may include technical feasibility, a reference sample, pilot, validation or transfer plan, followed by documented specifications, acceptance criteria and commercial approval.

Does contract manufacturing include packaging?

It can include filling and packing when those activities are part of the approved scope. Standalone contract packaging is available as a separate APS service.

Where does manufacturing take place and what is needed to begin?

Approved manufacturing and packaging are carried out by APS Packaging Türkiye, while APS Consumer Goods LLC coordinates U.S. commercial communication. Begin with the technical starting point, expected volume, pack, target timing and agreed handover destination.

What happens next
  1. The submitted manufacturing brief is screened for initial fit.
  2. Missing feasibility and commercial inputs are identified.
  3. The sample, transfer and production-review route is defined.
